Release Note 1.15.0: AI-agents with visual responses

Development at octonomy never stands still. Today, we are delighted to present several new features that will make your AI agents even smarter, more reliable and more versatile. These updates prove once again that octonomy is so much more than just a chatbot: we create real digital employees who can solve complex tasks independently.

Access visual contextual information directly from the knowledge base.

Our AI-agents can now include images and graphics from your knowledge base in their responses.

What does this mean for you in practice? Imagine a customer asks about the configuration of a complex machine. In the past, the agent would have provided a precise, albeit sometimes difficult-to-understand, text-based answer. Now, however, they can supplement their response with the relevant circuit diagram or technical drawing from your manual.

This feature makes complex answers easier and quicker to understand. Your customers will immediately receive the visual context they need to understand and implement technical details.

Excel spreadsheets and databases become intelligent knowledge

Many of our customers have told us about a common problem: important company data is stored in Excel files and other structured formats, but it cannot be accessed via APIs. We are now closing this gap.

Your digital workforce can now use structured customer data without requiring an API connection. Simply upload your spreadsheets and datasets – our agents will transform them into intelligent, context-sensitive responses.

For example, your agent can now determine the right combination for your customer directly from a product configuration table and present this information in an easy-to-understand response. Precise data becomes smart answers that really help your customers and users.

Fail-safe for your digital workforce

Reliability forms the basis of trusting collaboration. As our digital workforce relies heavily on Anthropic services, past failures of these systems could result in our agents being temporarily unavailable too.

However, as of today, we have implemented a safety net: if the Anthropic servers do not respond, your request will automatically be forwarded to Amazon servers. This means that your octonomy agents will remain operational even if a provider system fails.

For you, this redundancy means greater availability and less downtime, as well as the peace of mind that comes with knowing your customers can be supported at all times.

Advanced features for administrators

Our outstanding implementation team, and in the future self-service power users on the customer side, will benefit from numerous new administrative functions.
